BITUMEN 60/70 SUPPLIER IN UAE

bitumen 60/70 supplier in UAE

Bitumen 60/70 exporter from UAE

The highest quality UAE Bitumen 60/70 is produced from vacuum bottom (VB) using a continuous heating and air-blowing system. This advanced closed-loop process ensures:

  • Less production loss

  • Consistent penetration and softening point

  • Superior stability and homogeneity

  • Full compliance with TFOT (Thin Film Oven Test) standards

Only continuous production can reliably pass TFOT, which is essential for asphalt durability and aging resistance.

Typical Use:

  • 80% used in road construction (asphalt mixing)

  • 20% used in waterproofing, construction chemicals, and industrial applications

Second Grade Bitumen 60/70 (Batch Production)

The second quality is also produced from vacuum bottom; however, this is a batch production method, where each batch is heated, processed, discharged, and restarted.
Limitations of this type:

  • Lower uniformity between batches

  • Not suitable for projects requiring precise specifications

  • Does not pass TFOT, which is critical for aging stability in asphalt

This grade is mainly used in budget-sensitive or low-traffic applications.

Third Grade Bitumen 60/70 (Blended Bitumen)

The third quality is produced by blending two or three different grades of soft, medium, or hard bitumen to reach a 60/70 penetration range.
Characteristics:

  • Higher wax content

  • Higher viscosity

  • Less consistency compared to continuous or batch VB production

  • Not recommended for high-quality asphalt roads

Used mostly in low-quality waterproofing, non-structural projects, and markets where price is the main factor.

Packing Options for Bitumen 60/70 (All Grades)

1. Steel Drums

  • 110 drums per 20ft container

  • Each drum: 185 kg net / 195 kg gross

  • Other drum sizes available: 120 / 145 / 150 kg

2. Jumbo Bags (Big Bags)

  • Packing size: 800–1200 kg per bag

  • Suitable for 20ft and 40ft containers

  • Easy to handle with forklifts and reduces packaging waste

3. 300 kg Polycube (Best & Most Economical)

  • 80 polycubes per 20ft container

  • 24 tons per container

  • No bitumen loss during melting

  • Most competitive transport cost

  • Highly recommended for export markets

Bulk Bitumen 60/70

1. Truck Tanker Delivery (Dual-Layer Tankers)

  • Bitumen remains liquid for up to 7 days without reheating

  • If the product gets cold, the tanker has a built-in heating coil where flame is injected to re-melt the bitumen

  • Ideal for neighboring countries (local or regional delivery)

  • Not economical for long-distance destinations

2. Bulk Vessel Supply

We can supply bulk bitumen through:

  • Our own vessels, or

  • Customer-provided vessels

Capacity:

  • Minimum: 1,000 tons

  • Maximum: 36,000 tons

Bulk is the most cost-effective option for clients who have storage tanks at the destination port.
If storage tanks are not available, buyers often arrange multiple truck tankers.

Delivery Capacity of Bitumen 60/70

We export approximately 1,000 tons per day in containers, and during peak construction season (China, India, Africa), capacity increases significantly:

  • 1,000 tons/day drum or jumbo container supply

  • 1,000 tons/day in truck tankers

  • 3,000 tons/day bulk pumping to vessels

Annual export capacity: 500,000 tons of bituminous products.

Bitumen 60/70 is a penetration-grade paving bitumen widely used in road construction. The number 60/70 refers to its penetration range (in 0.1 mm), meaning the hardness of the bitumen. It is the most commonly used grade for asphalt pavements.

The penetration value indicates how deep a standard needle penetrates the bitumen sample at controlled conditions.

  • 60–70 (0.1 mm) penetration = medium-hard bitumen

  • Ideal for hot climates and high traffic roads

Bitumen 60/70 is used for:

  • Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) production

  • Highway and expressway surfacing

  • Runways and taxiways

  • Binder and wearing courses

  • Asphalt concrete production

  • General road maintenance and patching

Because it offers the best balance of:

  • Hardness vs. flexibility

  • Excellent durability

  • Good temperature resistance

  • Strong adhesion to aggregates

  • Suitable performance in tropical and moderate climates

It is derived from straight-run vacuum bottom of crude oil and refined to meet penetration-grade specifications under ASTM or EN standards.

Typical values:

  • Penetration: 60–70 dmm

  • Softening point: 48–56°C

  • Ductility: ≥ 100 cm

  • Specific gravity: ~1.01

  • Flash point: ≥ 230°C

Bitumen 60/70 is available in:

  • New steel drums (185–200 kg net)

  • Jumbo bags (1 ton)

  • Bulk bitumen (bitutainers or tankers)

  • Poly bags / carton blocks (upon request)

Yes. Its hardness makes it highly suitable for hot and tropical regions, preventing rutting, bleeding, and deformation under traffic load.

It can be used, but in extremely cold climates a softer grade (80/100 or 100/120) is preferred to avoid cracking.

It meets:

  • ASTM D946 (penetration-grade bitumen)

  • AASHTO M20

  • EN 12591 (Paving Bitumen)

Quality is verified by SGS, Intertek, or local refinery QC labs.

  • 60/70 is harder → used in hot climates and heavy traffic roads

  • 80/100 is softer → used in colder climates or lighter traffic areas

At 135°C, viscosity typically ranges between 300–500 cSt depending on refinery origin.

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. If in drums, stack safely and avoid corrosion through moisture.
