Base oil group 1

Base oils are used to manufacture products such as greases, motor oil, engine oil and metal processing fluids. Different products need different compositions and properties in the base oil. The most important item is the viscosity at various temperatures. Whether or not a crude oil is suitable to be made into a base oil is determined by the concentration of base oil molecules as well as how easily these can be extracted. Base oil make from crude oils ,when crude oil heat different kind of product can separate heavy hydrocarbons can produce base oil and bitumen while light hydrocarbons suits for fuels .

Quality of base oil

Additives adding to the base oil in order to meet the quality requirements for the end products in terms of, for example, friction and cleaning properties. Certain types of motor oils contain more than twenty percent additives. Base oil has different category of base oil which we can supply .API defines group I as “base stocks contain less than 90 percent saturates and/or greater than 0.03 percent sulfur and have a viscosity index greater than or equal to 80 and less than 120”.Group I base oils are classified as less than 90 percent saturates, greater than 0.03 percent sulfur and with a viscosity-index range of 80 to 120. The temperature range for these oils is from 32 to 150 degrees F. Group I base oils are solvent-refined, which is a simpler refining process. This is why they are the cheapest base oils on the market.

Grades of base oil

There are different grades of base oil group 1 which has different properties:

• SN650
• SN500
• SN350
• SN150

Packing base oil

Base oil can pack in 200 kgs new steel drum , base oil in new steel drum can load about 14500 kgs in 20ft container that’s will be equal to 80 Drums .Same condition for second hand drum ,80 drums per 20ft container , base oil in Drum can load also in 40ft container as well which can load about 120 Drums qual to 21000 kgs .

The most easy and best packing for base oil is flexi bag which can contain 20 up to 24 MT base oil , flexi bag has two hole for loading and discharging the oil so it will be easy for customer to choose the best way .

Base oil can be pack in 1 MT IBC tank which is one of the best packing for base oil .

The last packing type is iso tank which can load 20 up to 24 MT base oil however is is not so much cost effective since the iso tank is expensive and local transport makes some extra cost on final price of the product.
