SEMI REFINED PARAFFIN WAX

General description of semi refined paraffin wax

Semi refined paraffin wax has odor of oil which is the basic of this material, this odor can be minimum in better quality but does exist since the procedure of vanishing odor molecules in reactor has not been done in it, oil content can be 0.8%, 1%, 3%, 5% and maximum 7%. 

This waxes have water-like clarity and ar odorless and have melting points spanning low, medium, and high temperatures. They consist preponderantly of long open chain hydrocarbons and ar crystalline in structure, with molecular weights starting from 360 to 420, with a median carbon content of twenty six to thirty atoms. Semi Refined waxes ar inert, insoluble in water and alcohol.

The price of semi refined paraffin wax is lower than fully refined paraffin wax .

For candle making and match industry the quality of semi refined paraffin wax is quite applicable especially the 1% oil content grade  .

Categorizing is based on a range of oil content : below 1%, 1-2%, 1-3%, 3-5% , 5-7%, 7-10% 

For example  grade 1-3% slabs of paraffin may have 1%, 1.8%, 2%, 2.6% ….. 3%   oil content

torches, tapers, matches, floor polishes, car polishes, corrosion protectors, electrical industries, cable filling compounds, tires and rubber products.Carbon paper, crayons and pencils.

Suitable packing for semi refined paraffin wax

Semi refined paraffin wax is produced in 5 kg slabs which can be packed in carton , pp (poly propylene)bags or gunny and there is the possibility of palletizing too.
